He is the chipping paint.
The over-turned chairs;
abandoned possessions.
I can feel him; he is a part of it all.
I can feel him in the air.
In the walls.
In the windows’ missing panes,
the uprooted carpet - the bare floor boards, exposed.
He is the ageing wood.
The territory, over-run by nature.
The fixtures, reduced to their elements
- returned to nature.
